Spread the Message of CV Disease Prevention and Protect your Heart with Improved Health Literacy on Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment

"Early Detect to Protect"

About Us

We are a private operating foundation dedicated to preventing and treating cardiovascular disease. Our mission is to improve public health awareness, provide charitable clinical care, and educate future medical professionals

Preventive cardiology improves population health by catching cardiovascular disease before damage is done in the form of heart attacks, strokes, and heart failure by identification, correction where possible, and control otherwise of risk factors such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, and other vascular risk factors. In-depth advanced lipid testing, prompt identification of underlying coronary artery disease & aggressive prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis is one goal.

This is especially important in reducing variations in care based upon gender as women who present to the emergency room are still more likely to be characterized as low risk based on standard cardiovascular risk assessment scores, and women are preferentially likely to receive less intensive management of coronary artery disease than their male counterparts.

Director Rahangdale is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, in Chapel Hill, NC, and has training in diagnostic radiology and board certification in Internal Medicine. A Fellow of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology, Dr. Rahangdale serves as Dean of Florida State University College of Medicine, Tallahassee Regional Campus. His goal is to engage medical students in Global Health efforts and expand CV prevention and education programs worldwide.
